Wonder Woman 1984 trailer released featuring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor (“What!? he’s back?” the answer is yes, let’s get back to it later), Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord, and Kristen Wiig as Cheetah.
The new trailer also teases the iconic shiny and hot Golden Eagle Armor from the comics that we fans always wanted to see. Not only this, but there are also several nods to the comics as well. From lightning travel to the invincible Wonder Woman jet, it seems that Patty Jenkins has some badass moments packed in for us.
Chris Pine is back as Steve Trevor and we don’t know exactly why. The director, Patty Jenkins said at CCXP, Brazil,
“I can’t tell you, but here’s what I will say. We didn’t put Steve Trevor in this movie just to have Steve Trevor in the movie. A eureka moment came and it couldn’t have been told without Chris Pine playing Steve Trevor.”
Let’s say that he got lucky and he survived. Even if he did, there’s no way that he is still young. Diana is an Amazonian and got superpowers, Steve doesn’t have powers. It’s been sixty years after the war is over and Steve Trevor still looks young, something is fishy! It is unclear if the return of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor is an illusion of Pedro Pascal’s character or not.
Anyways, the movie will release on June 5, 2020, and will be the fourth movie to feature Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
