Bollywood Actor Irfan Khan passed away at 54 on Wednesday in Mumbai after he was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital. The tragedy happened two days after passing the actor’s mother, Saeda Begum, on Saturday in Jaipur, where she was living. Due to lockdown, he was unable to attend the funeral of his mother and paid his respect through video conferencing.

The actor was hospitalized on April 28 because of colon infection and was kept in the ICU. Irfan Khan was 54 and left a greaving wife, Sutapa Sikdar, and two sons Babil Khan and Ayan Khan.

The legendry actor was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor back in March 2018. After his brief treatment in London, he came back to India in February for shooting Angrezi Medium and flew back to London for his treatment. The actor came back to India in September 2019 after his surgery.

The last movie he appeared in was Angrezi Medium, before COVID-19 lockdown, which ended up in force shutdown of cinema halls.
