Sonic is officially getting a sequel, the popular video game character’s film adaptation, Sonic the Hedgehog is getting back on the big screen. The directors and writers of the movie are coming back. Sonic the Hedgehog was planned for November 2019 when the trailer broke the internet due to controversial character design and the studio had to change the release date to February 2020 in order to change the visuals.
The movie was a massive success at the box office breaking the records of Detective Pikachu as a top-grossing video game movie ever.
Variety confirms that Paramount Pictures and Sega are working on a sequel of the film Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The film was fortunate enough to be released before movies got pushed forward in time due to coronavirus pandemic across the globe.
